Hi! I am Alexei Salamakha from in Sydney, Australia. Originally, I'm from Khabarovsk, the capital of Russian Far East. Even though I love my home city, I prefer to live in Sydney - it has much more to offer in terms of climate and lifestyle. In fact, Sydney is the best city in the world. In order to prevent climate jokes I have to note that my picture on the left was taken in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I am married to a beautiful woman Inna and we have a wonderful daughter Elizabeth (born January, 2002).

I spend most of time in front of computer, but when I have a spare moment I usually spend it on my hobbies - reading, tennis, running, swimming in the ocean and driving a car.

After graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering in Khabarovsk State University of Technology (1996), I held a number of positions with companies in Russia as a computing specialist and analyst/programmer. Then I got a Master degree in Computer Science from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia (2000). After graduation I've worked in a number of Australian companies in various technical roles. At the moment I work as an Application Architect for Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Australia's largest bank.

Some of my works and reviews of software I created were published in different magazines and journals around the world over the past years. These include The Sydney Morning Herald, PC Magazine Australia, PC Mag (France), PC Mag Loisirs (France), PC User Australia, PC Magazine Poland, etc.
